White Flag Services
The White Flag Program is a "first come, first served" program allowing unsheltered individuals or families to come into the shelter during time of inclement weather. This is normally done during nights of extreme cold (when the nightly temperature drops below 36 degrees Fahrenheit), but we have also opened our doors during times of hurricane scares.
Homeless individuals are allowed into the men’s and women’s common areas respectively at 8:00 pm, are fed dinner, and given a couch or cot to sleep on for the night. In the morning, they are given breakfast before they leave. During the past year, 2021, Our Daily Rest White Flag Shelter has served 283 individuals on 51 separate nights.
When this service is available at our location at 525 East Main in Seneca, South Carolina we will fly the "White Flag" for those in need of shelter during inclement weather. If you need more information, you may contact us at (864) 482-2040.
