To bring true lasting change requires that we, as a community, not only open our eyes to the problem and effects of temporary homelessness, but that each of us become an instrument for that change. Even the smallest individual efforts can make a huge collective difference. That is the power of community.

Pledge Your Financial Support
Whether you are a family of limited means, an individual looking to distribute a lifetime of accumulated wealth, or a company wanting to give back to the local community – your financial gift to Our Daily Rest is an investment that provides returns for generations to come. As a federally-registered nonprofit organization, gifts to Our Daily Rest are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Some of the financial options include:

• Naming Opportunities: 24 naming opportunities, ranging from $10,000 to furnish a single apartment  to $500,000 to name the entire shelter, allow you to leave a lasting legacy to the community. 
  
  
• Multi-Year Pledges: Available to individuals, families, corporations and foundations that recognize the importance of extraordinary community support. A multi-year pledge can be made over period of up to five years but is really investment in the long-term future of our community.
  
  
• One-time Cash Contributions: Outright contributions of cash are the most direct and immediate way to support Our Daily Rest. Cash contributions also allow you to receive the tax benefits of a gift in the year it is made. 
  
  
• Gifts of Securities, Real Estate, or Life Insurance: These planned gifts are an excellent way to offset your tax burden while supporting a truly worthwhile cause. As with any sizable gift, we recommend talking to your financial advisor to understand the best options when considering such a donation.
  
  
• Estate Gifts: Gifts by bequest may be accepted, as well as Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Lead Trusts. Your financial advisor can help you structure a gift that works best for you.

Volunteer Your Time or Expertise
Upon completion of the Our Daily Rest Homeless Shelter, there will be ample opportunities for volunteers to get involved. Individuals and families will be needed to help out in the facility itself. Companies and area professionals will be able to partner with Our Daily Rest in the community to provide a variety of support services. The only donation required, is one of time, energy and compassion.
